Oh my word.
What a game! In my mind's eye, *this* was not how I thought it would turn out.
Lubbock was crazy. I've never seen anything like it. Students started camping out last Monday in the stadium parking lot in hopes of getting a seat at the game. By Thursday, the parking lots started filling up with tailgaters and over 2000 students had taken up residence in the stadium parking lot. By Saturday, everything around campus was crowded and crazy.
At the end of the game, people were hugging and high-fiving complete strangers. University Blvd was completely gridlocked and people were hanging out of their windows, cheering, high-fiving people passing by, and honking.
I'm sure there are some "bad" stories out there, and I'm embarrassed that some people just can't handle a win, but so far I haven't heard any of them--and, we didn't witness anything bad. (Also a little embarrassed that our students can't count to one even given three chances, but oh well!!)
We had a houseful of people as well and had a blast with everyone!
Jeff and I finally got to go to a game together this season!

So fun. We missed being there so bad. Luke had a playoff game. We thought maybe we could come this weekend, but he is in the superbowl at 2:25. MIss you guys
I'm an Aggie but I have to hand it to the Red Raiders...that was some game!!! How awesome to have been there!!
That's such a great pic of you and the hubs! And, I'm ashamed to admit it ... I didn't even watch the game. CHris had to call and tell me "we" won ... I thought he was talking about the lottery, lol!
