Remember how we were scheduled for the 8:40 PM flight the day before? Well, that's the flight our luggage was on. No biggie because Disney was going to get our luggage and hold it for us at the bell hop station until we were ready for it on Monday morning. So, sure I was going to have to sleep in the clothes I had worn all day, BUT by the time I woke up, my luggage and all of my clothes would be there.
In theory.
In reality, we got Jeff, Landry, and Korley's suitcases. Mine was MIA.
Which means by the time I woke up Monday I had been in the same clothes for 24 hours. Also? It was 35 degrees when we left Dallas--and was 75 degrees that day in Orlando. Also? I'm 28 weeks pregnant at this point--not necessarily at a point where I'm getting hormonal "cold flashes".
BUT, we were scheduled to go to the princess breakfast at Akershu's at Epcot this morning and Korley was excited. And, I was excited for her.
Our reservations were at 8:30. We left the hotel at 7:30 and barely made it in time. We basically ran through Epcot to get to "Norway" just in time for our reservation (at this point I was praying for a cold flash). But, we got there and had a fun breakfast. The girls met Belle, Cinderella, Aurora (one of Korley's faves!), Snow White, and Ariel (Korley's other fave!).
No word on whether Aurora felt "violated"......
This isn't a great picture. It was taken with my iphone of the picture they took of us with Belle. She was the princess that greeted us when we came in the restaurant.
After the breakfast, we saw the attractions and rode the rides at Epcot. I went to get fast passes for Soarin', while Jeff and the girls went to ride Fast Track and Mission Space, which was Jeff and Landry's favorite ride in all of Disney World!
In addition to those rides, we also rode the Nemo ride, watched Turtle Talk with Crush (I thought this was hilarious), and rode Spaceship Earth.
We were finished riding everything we wanted to do by early afternoon and the girls wanted to go back to our hotel and swim. I was fine with this plan because my suitcase had been delivered and I was ready to change clothes! So, we went back and had an afternoon by the pool! The pool at our hotel had a "volcano" and slide, which was a big hit with Landry and Korley!
While I was sitting by the pool, I checked my phone for the forecast for the week and saw that it was supposed to rain most of the day on Wednesday which was the day we were supposed to go to Hollywood Studios. So, Jeff and I decided to take the girls to Hollywood Studios that night since they were going to be open for extended evening hours and do the "big" stuff just in case we didn't get to go on Wednesday.
Most of the shows were already over by the time we got there, but the kids got to ride several rides: Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roller Coaster (a big hit!), and Star Tours. We also saw Beauty and the Beast, the 3D Muppet show, and Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
We were pretty beat by the end of the evening and were looking forward to a good night's rest. The next day Magic Kingdom was on the agenda!
