Christmas 2011 recap

Since yesterday was Groundhog Day, I thought this was probably the time I really need to back up and blog about Christmas.  Time is flying by--I can't believe that we're not only into 2012, but that it is now February.  Of course, since the Methodist church next door to us is still displaying their Christmas lights, I have a bit of warped since of time!

Anyway, Christmas.....

We went to my parents' house on Christmas Eve, as we always do.  My mom prepared a delicious Christmas Eve dinner, which is pretty much a Thanksgiving dinner repeat--that we ALL love!

Here's a couple of pictures of us around the table.  This was during the "Q&A" phase of the meal.  This is a new tradition that was started at Thanksgiving that Korley particularly loves.  My mom printed off and read "what would you do?", "would you rather?" type questions.  Apparently, she loves discussion questions....really, she just loves discussion in general.  :)

After dinner, the youngest elves sorted the piles of presents and we opened gifts!

This is when the girls opened their gift that we were taking them to Disney World in a couple of weeks.  We also video recorded the moment (though it is definitely not Disney World commercial worthy), but I love Korley's expression in this picture.

I really dropped the ball on Christmas Day as far as picture taking.  I have nothing from Christmas morning.  What in the world was I doing?!?

Christmas Day afternoon we went to Jeff's parents' house to celebrate.  Again, we had a great time with family, and again, I failed miserably at taking pictures.  I managed to get a couple of pictures that the nieces were in, but wished I had taken one of all of them together!

Christmas 2011 was another great Christmas and we were blessed to be able to spend another year with family!

I got zero pics this year at Christmas as well.

Funny about the church by you...the Muslims next door to me still have the drummer boy in their yard. It's been there since October & only turned on Christmas night. Go figure!
