We decided to go during the second week of January. Although the kids both missed a week of school, we knew the parks wouldn't be as crowded that week. Plus, Disney was offering their meal plan for free that week--which ended up saving us quite a bit of money. Win win!!
We left on Sunday, January 8 and hit a little snafu early into our trip. Seems that we thought we were booked for an 8:40 AM flight, but in actuality, were booked for 8:40 PM. The rest of the trip was uneventful and once we got to Orlando, the Disney Magical Express made everything else easy! We had a quick shuttle to our resort, the Polynesian, and were anxious to look around the resort.
Once we had looked around our resort and relaxed for a little bit, we headed to the Contemporary resort to have dinner at Chef Mickey's. The girls got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.
Korley had me fix her hair in "Mickey Mouse ears". Here, she is showing Mickey her hairstyle--inspired by him. :)
Love this picture of Landry......
We went back to the Polynesian after dinner and went to the beach to watch the fireworks from Magic Kingdom.
Korley found a comfy place to watch the fireworks display. :)
