Jeff and I got back today from our ELEVENTH annual Pontoon/lake weekend with my college girlfriends and their husbands. It's hard to believe that this was our 11th year---even harder to believe that it's possible we've been out of college (at least) that long.
This is a weekend that I always look forward to. Lots of laughing and lots of fun are always in store! **Huge** thanks to Grammy and PawPaw for watching Landry and Korley for us so we could go play with our friends!
These pictures were taken Friday evening before we went out to dinner. This is the only time of the weekend that we didn't look like lake grunge, so I'll spare you any other pictures!!

A little "adventure" this year....see that empty boat slip? It's supposed to have Ann & Kevin's boat in it. It was in there before this picture was taken and then when we were all out on the deck taking pictures, we noticed that the boat was missing. Kevin had raised it up on the boat lift when he originally docked it, but the dam people (hee hee) let water into the lake we were at (Lake Austin) from Lake Travis. So, when the water rose, the boat floated away.
Fortunately, it didn't go TOO far! The people that were staying next door were nice enough to take Kevin on their jet ski to go look for his boat. It had floated down the lake/river a little way, but was okay and not damaged! So glad it was found with no damage! That would have been a big bummer!!
Last Thursday evening, we had my family over for dinner for Gigi's birthday!!! Landry and Korley had worked hard for nearly 3 hours on their birthday card for her! Landry wanted her to have the biggest birthday card she had ever had--and she succeeded!

Gigi had help blowing out her birthday candles.....
Some were more enthusiastic about it than others!
Last Wednesday, our friends and former neighbors in Lubbock came to visit us. Korley and Hayden were best of buds when we lived across the street from each other and they hadn't seen each other since we moved here and Hayden moved to Tennessee. It was great to get to see Shannon and Hayden and to meet sweet baby Hadleigh! She is precious!
Of course, Korley being the baby lover that she is, wanted to hold Hadleigh. Hayden kept telling Korley, "You're doing a great job holding my baby!" So cute!

Korley looks likes she's grown a ton this summer...love the picture of her blowing out the candles with the force of a hurricane!
Glad you and Jeff got some fun time away!
