She's been going to some sort of daycare/preschool/Montessori since she was a baby, so there wasn't a whole lot of anxiousness on her part about starting a new school. If anything, she was more excited than anything else--and confused by the other four-year-olds who were crying when their mommas were leaving!
She had been looking forward to this school for two main reasons: 1) her school is Pre-K through 12th grade and she has been telling everyone that she is now going to high school. And 2) she gets to wear a "unicorn" (uniform) to school.
The packed lunch and backpack were exciting factors, too.
