Nothing overly interesting or blog-worthy, but it has indeed been a busy week and I've neglected my little blog.
I'll bullet-point it. Not necessarily because there are a lot of "points", but I feel like when I bullet-point, I don't have to have a standard introduction, body and closing.....my English teachers of yore would be so proud.
**Landry was "invited" at her last Tae Kwon Do lesson to take her orange belt test next week. For the mere price of SEVENTY DOLLARS! I'm going to talk to Mister Master tomorrow and make sure she's ready. Sorry, but I'm not willing to fork over the money if she's not going to pass. (By the way, HOW many different colored belts are there in Tae Kwon Do?--and, can we just stop when we get to a color we like?)
**I have been a total book nerd the past couple of months. I've read more books the past two months than I've probably read in the past 10 years. Right now I'm reading....brace yourself.....Twilight. I bought it way back in March and never opened it. Every time I was looking for something to read, I'd run across Twilight again and continue to look for something else. I finally gave up a couple of days ago and decided to crack it open. I'm about half way through it, and although it's holding my interest, I am able to put it down and I'm not donning a "Team Edward" t-shirt or anything like that.
**Korley's teacher is getting on my nerves. She got a new teacher about a little over a month ago. EVERY DAY when I pick up Korley, her teacher tells me about how Korley didn't follow the rules or listen or was distracting others during nap time or had to change her color to red (so bad!)--and on and on and on. I know Korley's not perfect and she will probably never be a teacher's pet, but come on! Surely she has had some shining moment in the past month! At first, we really tried to follow up at home and discipline her at home for her behavior at school. But now? I basically just tell the teacher, "Sorry! I hope she has a better day tomorrow." (This is where I should remind you that I most definitely do not write a parenting advice blog.) Jeff and I talked about it over the weekend and he thinks we need to ask her to give us specific examples of what she is doing at school. And, he says we need to tell her that her previous teachers did not have DAILY problems with Korley, so this is something new. Sounds quite reasonable. Maybe Jeff should write a parenting advice blog.
**I started working out (with some degree of intensity) last week. I've been playing tennis again after my summer hiatus for the past few weeks, but last week I made it to the gym for cardio and weights at SIX AM for 3 days and at regular people hours for 2 days. I actually
**We had some people over last night to watch the Tech/Houston game. So disappointing. Not the people, but the game outcome. And, really--an 8 pm Tech game? Makes for a long morning at church. More disgusting than the score, though, was Potts farmer-style blowing his nose--repeatedly!! My theory is that the receivers didn't want to touch the ball anymore after that.
**I have one more thing to discuss, but I'll wait til tomorrow. It has pictures that go with it and I haven't uploaded them yet so it will have to wait.
Have a great week, everyone!

Think I still have Brady's orange belt; maybe Brady would consider passing it down! I don't remember having to pay such high fees for the "upgrade" in belt colors!
And, what does Korley have to say about her new teacher?
Glad I missed Potts blowing his nose--YUK! I fell asleep during part of the game, but awoke for the final minute and six seconds--heartbreaker for Tech!
Wow, you have been busy.
First congrats on making it to the gym. You should be so proud. I need to get inspiration from you!
Second, Korley's teacher. Boo to her! I mean she is only 3 and cute as can be, so why all the hate? I think there is something wrong with the teacher.
Third, the game. Ditto to the Potts nose blowing. So disgusting! I'm a little mad a Leach for not going for the field goal. So sad :(
Finally, I don't know how many colors of belts you can get, but at $70 per color, you should perhaps start a "Belt Fund" to go along with a "College Fund"!
I think Korley's teacher is the problem. Doesn't she realize Korley is 3? At 3, kids talk during nap or don't follow the rules. That is the joy of being 3. Sounds like Korley is normal and the teacher needs to adjust her expectations.
Can you pick me up on the way to the gym? I can't seem to get there by myself.
I watched the Tech game too. I should have gone on to bed.
