Only for that reason.
Because, you will soon learn what terrible parents we are.
Last Saturday, Jeff taught Landry how to ride a two-wheel bike.
Yes, Landry. Our 7 1/2 year old.
I asked my friend the other day via IM if her daughter knew how to ride a two-wheel bike. She replied back, "Yes - she learned when she was 4".
Awesome.
In our defense, Landry has not been begging to learn to ride a bike. In fact, she didn't want to learn at all. But, since we have three-year-olds zipping up and down our street and poppin' wheelies on their two-wheel bikes, we decided she better learn before she the toddlers start picking on her.
So, we (Jeff) finally bit the bullet and spent a little bit of Saturday teaching her to ride her bike.
Surprisingly, if you wait until they're seven, it really doesn't take them that long to learn!
Look how pumped she looks!
Hands on the bike.....
Hands off the bike.....
I don't know exactly what's going on down there, but I guarantee it was some sort of
And, while I was standing in the driveway, I took a pic of our new "Friend"--since some of you were asking what we got when we sold our real Friend.

We are in the SAME boat!! Kylie has no desire to ride her bike. And Alan would be threatening- I mean- talking to her about it in the street just like that!!
Love the ride!!
Hilarious! Good job Landry!
Way to go Landry! Awesome! Uncle Hoyt will be so proud!
Congratulations Landry! Love the new friend.
How fun! I think I was 6 before anyone taught me to ride a two wheeler.
Love the "new friend".
I think we will wait until Caroline is 7 to teach her to ride a bike without training wheels. Seems like the best way to go!
Can I borrow your new Friend? Love it!!
Love the bling on Friend.
Glad to hear Landry is just learning. Berkley is 6 and is still trying to ride a bike that is geared for about a 3 year old!!! We're trying to talk her into asking Santa for a new bike so she can soon learn to ride one. I'll let Matt get some "pep talk" skills from Jeff!
