Lots has happened in the past two weeks. We've been getting into the swing of the new school year and the new after school activities. Jeff went on a hunting trip with his college buds. The girls and I made a quick Labor Day trip to Abilene to meet my mom and dad. And, last but not least, football started!
You might not know this about me, but I would describe my reading level as "preschool". Personally, I would rather look at a picture and possibly read a caption about it than read just plain ol' boring words. I can get through a People magazine in about 3 minutes flat.
So, in an effort to not be so "wordy" and bore myself, I'll stick with the usual and just post a bunch of pictures and captions. :)
Korley and Landry at the Tech pep rally, which was a couple of days before the first game. I thought it was really lame, but the girls had fun. Which is why.......
I decided to take them to the first home game. Jeff was out of town and I thought it would be something "fun" for us to do. We got there early and tailgated with friends (which WAS fun), went to Raider Alley (which WAS fun), but then the game? NOT fun! Let me put it this way--we left with nine minutes left...in the first quarter.

However, it was a great time to go to the Chili's across from campus. We virtually had the place to ourselves. And, to make up for the fact that we were missing the game, Landry made a Double T chili for them to hang on the wall. Yes, all better.

The following day, we met my Mom and Dad in Abilene so they could see the girls and the girls could see them. I was just the chauffeur.
I didn't take many pics. Obviously. Because I'm including the one of Korley trying to fly.....
and Landry making the window pig face. Good times.
This past weekend, we wised up and got a babysitter for the kids while we went to the game. Everyone was happy.
We had a special guest this weekend! My blog friend, Kara, came to stay with us and go to the game. We had a great time, and it was fun to finally meet another blog friend in "real" life. (Side note--Kara brought a fabulous gift and an enclosed card. She wrote in the card, "....you're such a great blog friend (as long as you don't kill me in my sleep)". I thought it was hilarious!
We also met our other good blog friend, Robin, at the game to tailgate (Robin and I met in "real" life a few weeks ago). We had a great time all hanging out in person!
And, here is me with my friend, Stephanie. I'm including this one so any of you Aggies can raz her. She's clearly wearing a Tech shirt. This has to be breaking some sort of Aggie law, right?
Yesterday, we went to my blog/real friend's, Robin, parents' house for her birthday celebration. Our blog-real friend/Robin's cousin, Ann, was also there, and it was fun catching up with her, too. We had a fabulous lunch and cake and it was so wonderful for Robin and her family to host Jeff, me, and the girls (aka, our travelling gong show).

That's it for now. I hope to be back sooner than I was last time!

I can also go through a magazine in just a few minutes. Maybe I need to start taking your kids to football games..leaving that early is my kind of game! Ha!
I had a blast! When can we do it again?
It was fun- well, the part I was there for. I too love Kara's note on the card. So funny.
