But, here's the reality--our social life has all but come to a screeching halt since we've moved to Lubbock. I never realized how much we did with our family friends in McKinney until we moved here. So, I L-O-V-E the weekends when we have out-of-town company.
This past weekend we had two families from "back home" come visit us, the Files' and the Hands. We were in the same small group with both of these couples at our old church and have dearly missed getting together with them on Thursdays.
Friday night, we dropped the kids off at a local gymnastics place that has a "parents' night out" on Friday nights so we could go to dinner with just grown-ups. It was so great to just cut my own food, not have to blow on anyone's food, and not have to tell Korley to sit down 100 times! (Plus, the kids had fun, too!)
Saturday, we all went to the (nail-biting) Tech/Nebraska game, which was a lot of fun!
Karin, Ryan, Garrett, Jenn--we're so glad y'all were here! Come back any time!

Don't worry..I think my blog is becoming a monthly blog based on my blogging habits the past few months.
How funny, we have very similar tastes...we had the same couch and I'm currently staring at the same pillow :)
