K is for Kindergarten

Last night was an event that has been highly anticipated by Landry for days--Kindergarten Orientation!!

Jeff and I got to learn all about her new school and the things they will learn and get to do in Kindergarten, while Landry got to go with the teachers and future Kindergarteners to do some activities. The school mascot is Cowboys, which bodes very well for Landry since she wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up.

Before the children left, we watched a little slide show with pictures of some of the things the Kindergarteners this year had done. They showed pictures of them learning and had pictures of them at a petting zoo and at the pumpkin patch. When Landry came back to us at the end of the evening, I asked if she had had fun. She sighed and said, "Yeah, it was fun--but, we didn't go see animals or go to the pumpkin patch!"----Geez! Guess she wanted all of the fun crammed into the orientation hour!

Here are a few pics from last night.

Landry in front of the school.

This is our miserable attempt at a family picture. Landry looks cute--I don't know what I'm doing--Jeff looks like he's about to fertilize the flower beds.

It's so hard to believe that our sweet, sweet Landry is old enough to even think about going to kindergarten! Where has the time gone? The family picture makes me laugh!

I cannot believe that the time has come for kindergarden either. I am sure by August I will be a basket case. I have so many mixed emotions, but I know that Kaylee will love it as will Landry I am sure. I love how her mind works, it reminds me so much of Kaylee.

First of all, I love the pro pics. Landry's smile is precious without a tooth!

I am already crying about Kylie going to Kindergarten! I love that Landry wanted to do everything that night at orientation! Erica is right. She and Kaylee need to meet!
