Well, I've let it happen again. I've gone TOO long in between blog posts. I hate when I do this. So, I'll spend this post playing catch up!
On Thursday, May 17, Landry became a 2007 Pre-K graduate! Her school had a Pre-K graduation at one of the nearby elementary schools. It was so great! They sang several songs, had a nice "commencement speech", handed out diplomas, and had a cake and punch reception. Landry did great and sang EVERY WORD. However, she became very distracted and frustrated because her cap kept coming off when the kids around her were doing their choreographed hand motions!

Sunday, May 20 was my birthday. I am now 22!!....or something. We spent the weekend at my parent's house and had a big shrimp fry on Sunday. This is one of my all-time favorite meals at my parent's house, so it was a nice treat for my birthday. Jeff (and the girls) got me some new charms for my Pandora bracelet and Landry colored 3 dinosaur coloring pages for me. I also got a new camera from my parents. It's a Nikon D40X and IT IS AWESOME!! I am loving it! Korley didn't give me anything, but she did take my cake away from me......
Our Memorial Day weekend was fun! We all went to a wedding shower for our friends, Adam and Angie on Saturday night. It was very nice and aside from chasing Korley around the house all evening, we had a great time!
Sunday evening we went to a wedding for my high school and college friend, Kelly. Our friends, Scott and Kristen (who we owe BIG TIME) were gracious enough to watch the girls and let them spend the night so Jeff and I could stay out really late (ok, since I'm 22 now, midnight is REALLY late!!). The wedding and reception was beautiful and we got to see and catch up with LOTS of old friends. Good times!
Some of my college friends that were at the wedding. Yesterday, we went over to a friend's house for a Memorial Day BBQ and to swim. The food and entertainment was great, and although it rained most of the time we were there, the kids didn't care--they swam in the downpour!

PopPop and I were very impressed with the PreK graduation ceremony; who knew that many five-year-old children could be so well behaved and talented! Landry was adorable; her cap and gown pic is precious!
