Man! I can't believe how long I have been going between posts these days. I have a lot to write about, but have been busy at work and home and just haven't had the chance to catch up on my blog.
Updates: Landry lost her second tooth. She got bonked in the face the other night with a basketball and it came out. She said it didn't hurt at all; and this time she didn't swallow it! Korley gave me a massive heart attack yesterday. I left her in the living room to play while I went to put a new trash bag in the trash can. I came back about 40 seconds later and couldn't find her anywhere. Then, I heard her giggle....at the TOP OF THE STAIRS. I immediately put her in the car, went to Toys R Us and bought these prison bars. We can't gate off our stairs because of the way the bottom of the staircase is, but we have contained her to the living room. Sure, it makes our part of our house look like a petting zoo, but keeps Korley away from the staircase and keeps my heart pumping!

.....I've been trying to casually talk to Landry about "stranger danger". I don't want to scare her--she has a tendency to really worry about stuff, but I want her to be aware that not all people are nice. On our way home today we were talking about strangers and I asked her, "If someone you don't know comes up to you and tells you to go with them because they have a really cute puppy they want you to see, should you go?" She said, "NOOOOOOOO--they might be trying to trick me." YES!!--I thought to myself--she gets it. Then she followed up with, "they might actually just have an ugly puppy". (sigh!)
......I scheduled an appt to have the girls' pictures taken on Sunday afternoon...just wee hours after the loss of the second tooth. Oh well! They were still cute and both Landry and Korley did a great job. Here they are:

The pictures turned out really cute. I am glad you had them done before Luke decided to bow and arrow Landry in the face. I am so sorry about that. Thanks for coming over Sunday. It was fun!!

Have you heard about the DVD "The Safe Side?" It is by the America's Most Wanted guy and the girl that made Baby Einsteins. It is a REALLY good video and Sam enjoys watching it. I actually think he learned something too...we had a soliciter selling something at the door and I didn't want to answer. He said, "we don't answer because that man is a 'Don't Know'" Yes, Sam, exactly (plus I didn't want to buy 3 months worths of steaks!)
Kristen--yes, I've seen some commercials for that DVD. I'm going to order it. I don't know how to get through to her without scaring her, but she certainly needs to be more educated on "stranger danger"! Thanks for the tip!

I am glad that you had a chance to update...I cannot believe that Landry lost another tooth:) I think that the pictures are just adorable. I think you have convinced me to go white next time we get ours made.
