Dia de las Madres

I had a great Mother's Day yesterday! First, I got to sleep-in. Back in the old days, sleeping in meant waking up at 11 or 12--nowadays, it's 8:30!! Jeff took the girls to the grocery store and they came home and cooked me a big breakfast--eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast--yum!!

Landry picked out some flowers for me at the store. They are VERY VERY VERY bright and they have glitter on them! :) She told me that she "picked out Mexican flowers for me because I love Mexican flowers".......uh, ?que? But, I do love them because they are from her!!

After breakfast I went to Home Depot Landscape and bought some flowers to plant in our flowerbeds. I bought 4 flats of flowers and thought it would take us about 30 minutes to an hour to plant them. I guess it's important to say that I have NO green thumb--when it comes to yard/garden work, I am clueless. So, the 30 minute project that Jeff took over turned into 4 1/2 hours worth of planting. Poor Jeff--you should see how sunburned the back of his neck is! But, our flower beds do look a lot better! Thank you, Jeff!

Last night we went to eat dinner with my mom and dad at Saltgrass. We had a great time visiting, and as usual, the girls LOVED seeing their PopPop and Gigi!
