100 Things About Me

I got this idea from Chas and didn't have anything else to blog about today, so here it is. Hope you don't get bored to death!

1) My favorite drink is sweet tea.

2) My favorite thing to wear is flip flops.

3) September is my least favorite month. I have my reasons but they would bore you.

4) My favorite job was when I waited tables in college. Some of my best memories are from Cagle’s.

5) My favorite church hymn is “O Lord, Our Lord”. There was a lady at Southern Hills that could hit that high note and it used to give me goose bumps. Sometimes when I’m in the car by myself I try to hit that high note. I can’t but it makes me laugh out loud when I try. Then I look around and hope no one was watching me.

6) I’d like to lose 30 pounds by the end of 2006.

7) My toes are permanently bent (curled). My husband calls me “Hammer Toe”.

8) My feet are my favorite part of my body, though.

9) If I could look like any celebrity, I would look like Eva Mendes. Followed by Vanessa Marcil, then Salma Hayek, then Rachel McAdams, then Jennifer Garner, then Sandra Bullock.

10) I like show tunes.

11) With the exception of Italy, I don’t really want to go to Europe.

12) I love Target.

13) I hate concerts.

14) I wish I had long, full, bouncy hair like Belle from "Beauty and the Beast".

15) Taylor Hicks drives me insane, and not in a good way…..I think I am the only one in America that thinks this.

16) I wish headbands were always in style. I get so hot in the summer that I wish I could just wear a headband. However, LC (The Hills) is ALWAYS wearing a headband and she works at Teen Vogue, so it must be okay.

17) I hate the feel of cardboard and construction paper.

18) I have to rub my feet together to get myself to sleep….think cricket.

19) I watch too much TV.

20) My favorite sound is Landry singing.

21) I lived in Oklahoma for four years when I was little. Other than that, I have lived in Texas all of my life.

22) I never plan to live anywhere but Texas.

23) If I had to move to another state I would probably pick Arkansas (where my brother lives) or to where Nicholas Sparks always writes about. It seems pretty “there”.

24) I don’t ever want to live in the North East.

25) I also don’t ever want to live in New Mexico.

26) I like dark chocolate better than milk chocolate.

27) I have never ever sent a text message on my cell phone.

28) I really really really really really really hate grocery shopping.

29) When I was in 8th grade I cut my eyelashes. I really regret that.

30) My favorite vacations are beach vacations.

31) I hate swimming in the ocean, though.

32) I love sushi rolls. My favorite is the caterpillar roll. It does not contain caterpillars.

33) Even though it’s 15 years old now, I still like the Cindy Crawford workout video.

34) I worry a lot.

35) I like to scrapbook, but am way behind. I haven’t even finished Landry’s first year (she’s four now).

36) I wish I had more time to play tennis. I miss it.

37) I’m a huge chicken. I hate scary books, scary movies, scary TV shows, and scary movie commercials on TV. If a scary movie commercial comes on I will change the channel or look away if I can’t find the remote.

38) I hold grudges for a long time. I don’t like that about myself.

39) The older I get the more frugal I get.

40) I like to buy clothes, but I don’t like to pay very much. I think $50 is WAY too much for a shirt.

41) I am wearing a new shirt today that I really like.

42) I got it at JC Penney for $19.99.

43) I almost thought that was too much to pay.

44) In high school I drove a jeep. It was so much fun……except when it rained, when it was really hot, and when it was really cold.

45) I can’t even think of the last time I bought a CD. It had to have been more than 4 years ago.

46) I used to buy a lot of cassettes, though. The first one I ever bought was the Footloose soundtrack. I still love the Footloose song.

47) I love Jeff, Landry, and Korley so much it sometimes makes me cry.

48) I love to take pictures. I have over 4000 pictures on Kodak Gallery from when Landry was born to now.

49) I wish I knew how to garden. I would grow tomatoes.

50) I don’t take very good care of my skin. I like to by tan. I know it’s not good for me, but I still do it.

51) I don’t really like to read “the classics”.

52) “The Fountainhead” was endless hours of time I will never get back. I still don’t know what it was about, either.

53) I’m a “Wheel” watcher.

54) When I was in 6th grade, my friend and I stole a “Beach Boys” cassette tape from Wal-Mart. She told her mom when we got to the car. Her mom made us return it to the manager and apologize.

55) I have an unnatural fear of snakes.

56) One of my favorite times of the day is bathing Korley. She loves being bathed and will smile at me and wave her arms and kick her legs like crazy! So cute!

57) I don’t like snobby people.

58) I’m not into “trendy” places and/or crowded places.

59) We sleep with two box fans and one ceiling fan on.

60) I don’t like it when people wear socks with sandals.

61) I have had a lot of bad hair days (years, really).

62) The day before my freshman year of HS I cut my own hair and messed it up really bad. That night I prayed for an hour straight that when I woke up my hair would be long. The next morning when I woke up it was still messed up.

63) I think this website is fun to play with. www.myheritage.com

64) I am trying to only drink water for the rest of the month.

65) I don’t really like to drink water, though.

66) I do like to drink coffee (with hazelnut cream and a sweet n low), sweet tea, Dr Pepper, Big Red, Dr. Pepper with Big Red, Fruit Punch Crystal Light, apple juice, merlot, and shiraz.

67) Sonic ice is the bomb!

68) Lindsay told me they don’t have Sonic in California; I don’t want to live there then.

69) I miss Abilene.

70) I love it when Korley snorts like a pig when she’s about to cry.

71) I enjoyed high school. A lot!

72) I embarrass myself quite often.

73) One of my hips is higher than the other one. If you looked at an x-ray of my hips it would be a diagonal line.

74) This makes wearing high heels uncomfortable.

75) I don’t understand technology. The phone, radio, tv, computer all amaze me.

76) My family is extremely funny. I’m the least funny of us all.

77) I went to camp between 3rd and 4th grade for a week and wore the same sweater and same jeans every single day. My friend told my mom when we got back to Texas and I got in trouble.

85) I don’t know why I do this.

86) I haven’t really seen that many famous people. The last famous person I saw was Angie Harmon. She goes to the same OB-GYN I do and I saw her in the waiting room.

87) I have these weird red bumps on the back of my arms that I can’t get rid of.

88) I make really good taco soup.

89) I love getting my hair done, but I really hate paying for it.

90) I played fantasy football for six years.

91) Our team was called BOSS and our mascot was Boss Hog. We made it to the play-offs all but one year.

95) When I worked at Cagle’s I was challenged to eat a two-inch thick steak that was 28 ounces in less than an hour.

96) I did it and was sick for days.

97) I love San Antonio. My husband and I got engaged there.

98) At my first job out of college I won three sales contests in a row. I won a 56” TV and two trips.

99) I LOVE green apple snow cones.

100) It’s hard for me to come up with 100 things about myself.

Have a great day!!

I actually bought a headband last week after seeing LC wearing them so often on "The Hills." Not sure if I am pulling it off as good as she does, but I LOVE headbands and hope they are making a comeback!

Loved your list!

I think we are related. I seriously thought I was reading a list I had made myself. The OCD for sure - ask Lindsay about my "lane changing" disorder. I'm weird.
We have got to meet sometime! Maybe ya'll could move to Abilene and Kaitlyn and Landry could be BFF.

I wish we could move to Abilene!! I'm so jealous of your "commute" from home to Kaitlyn's school to work. (sigh)

Next time we're in Abilene we'll get together at Lindsay's for a cook-out and for Kaitlyn and Landry to play! Yes, I'm inviting!!

Too funny, we have a lot in common. Don't tell our yellow tag friend about not wanting to live in NM, she may try to talk you into it!

I miss headbands.

I love myheritage. I have always been told I look like Drew Barrymore and this site confirmed it!

I miss Abilene, too. My years at AHS were wonderful. I miss singing O Lord, Our Lord at University CofC in Abilene.

I wish I could live in the NorthEast every summer.

Great list!

I'm with you on so much of this...
#11 - also have no desire really to visit Europe.

#40-43 - I am also a bargain shopper to the max. I would NEVER pay $50 for a shirt...and I probably wouldn't pay $20 for one either...I love Penneys

#87 - My husband also has the red bumps on the backs of his upper arm. It's called hyperkeratosis polaris. It's got something to do with the pores getting clogged. Try scrubbing it and using an OTC hydrocortisone cream. A LOT of people have this problem.
