A Scawesome Day of Hookie

My friend, Beth, and I took Landry and her son, Luke, to Six Flags this past Monday.

Both of our schools are still in session, but we decided the kids needed a fun day.  (Maybe we did too?)

Side note: I totally believe education is important, but I also totally believe in doing whatever it takes to avoid a crowd at all costs--hence, skipping school to go to Six Flags instead of waiting for the summer madness.

We did this two years ago when Landry was in Kindergarten and had a blast.  It was just as much fun this year.  Beth and I decided that we're going to take them every year until they graduate high school.  Or, until they decide hanging out with their moms is just way uncool.

Luke and Landry are so much fun to be around.  They get along so well together and are so well behaved that we love being able to take them with us to do fun stuff.

Landry, of course, loves all of the roller coasters and rides that I never would have gotten close to as an eight-year-old.  I rode the Tony Hawk ride with them and they decided it was scawesome--scary but awesome.

Love these kids!

Toasting at Chili's to a fun day!

I love it!! I believe everyone should participate in outside educational opprotunities. Think of all the elements of physics you taught them that day. I hate crowds and we pull our kids from school in order to avoid it as well.

We love six flags but are never around when everyone else is still in school..so I haven't ridden the Tony Hawk ride and I'm so jealous you have!!
