That's What She Said

It's been well over a week now, but below is the new cast. Her first choice was "animal print", but our doctor didn't have any type of animal print tape. Her second choice was black. Yep, black! I almost fainted when I had mental flashes 10 years into the future of my baby dressing in goth with jet black dyed hair and pastey white make-up with heavy black eye-liner (okay, maybe a little dramatic...or maybe not!). I was able to talk her out of black by explaining that no one would be able to sign her cast. So, we settled for HOT pink. And I do mean HOT!!


Since she is prohibited from playing soccer right now--by the way, it's not so much the falling and hurting her arm that's a problem, it's that if her arm gets sweaty inside the cast she could get a skin infection, EWWWWW!--she has been doing a lot of indoor activities. One of her friends got her these dinosaur eggs that melt in hot water and when it dissolves it leaves behind dinosaur bones and you can then "build" the dinosaur. Landry considered this a "science experiment" and insisted that she and Jeff wear their safety goggles. :) My little nerds....

I haven't written a lot about Korley in a while and I don't know why. There is A LOT going on with this child. She definitely keeps us on our toes! Here are some of her "favorites":

words: right now she loves saying "lellow" (yellow), "good girl", and "bubbles"

accessory: pacifier, "pappy" as she calls it

hobbies: climbing stairs, climbing chairs, climbing couches, climbing slides, climbing ______!! She also LOVES to sing! I'm amazed at how she remembers the tune to songs. I can't always tell what she's saying by her words, but I can always tell by the tune she's singing. It's so cute!

food: Vienna sausages (she actually applauds when she sees me pull these out of the pantry!), green beans, spaghetti (or ravioli, or lasagna), grapes
