I knew that with Landry now playing sports that we would be risking the chance of an injury. I had no idea that music class would pose the same danger!
Landry tripped over a little boy's foot yesterday at school (in the dangerous music class) and fell into a door. She broke both bones in her right arm just above her wrist. I took her to the ER yesterday afternoon for x-rays and she was so awesome. She never cried one bit and has hardly complained about it at all! Her main concern at this point is having to write with her left hand...she said she doesn't want her work to look messy. (That's my girl! :) )
She gets her arm set and her permanent cast on Saturday.....wish us luck!
Unfortunately, she is out of soccer for the season, and I'm thinking of having her sit out of music class for a while, too (totally kidding!). I took her to soccer practice last night because she wanted to tell her coach that she wasn't going to be able to play anymore. He told her that she wasn't off the hook--he was going to make her his assistant coach. So, she spent the rest of the practice bossing these poor girls around (she gets this from her daddy....heehee). I think by the end of practice they were ready to break her other arm!

Geez...watch out. I can't believe she broke her arm!! Maybe she will be ambidextrous by the end of this whole thing!!
Poor Landry!! What a trooper she is!
Oh my gosh, poor girl! But she sure is taking it well! What a tough kid. Hope it heals quickly...
Oh my gracious! Poor Landry. I showed Kaitlyn these pictures and she said, "Oh Momma, we need to go see her and take her some soup!" I wish we lived closer! Tell her she still looks as cute as ever!
Oh Leslie, how cute! Kaitlyn is so sweet! I'll have to make her some soup tonight and tell her it was sent by Kaitlyn. :)
Poor Landry! It's amazing that she scores so many goals in such a dangerous game yet falls in music!
Oh well, at least she will be the envy of the school when everyone is signing that cast! :)
Man, it must that time of year!!! She sure looks cute, though!
Poor Landry! What a week for her at school. She sounds like a tough little girl.
Poor sweet girl - she's so brave! And her hot pink cast looks so cool. :)
Hi there!
Sorry it's taken me awhile to respond to your comment but I'm finally getting time to do more "me" things as I adjust to having twins!
Also SO glad to know of another female Landry :) Let me ask...do people ever stop assuming she's a boy just from hearing the name?? Ever since we decided on it, it has just sounded feminine to me so I'm always surprised at how many people think it's only a boy name. With Chayse, I can understand a little more. I just hope they both don't hate me for their names (though don't we all hate our names at some point?!?!)
Adorable family, by the way!
