Hi

It's not that I don't want to blog. Really, I do. I've always have *something* to talk about. But, it's getting harder and harder to set aside time to actually sit down and blog. It's only going to get worse once fall tv resumes. ;)

Last weekend was the 7th annual of one of my all-time favorite weekends ever...Pontoon Weekend. In fact, I'll go as far to say that as far as "friend" events go, this is my favorite. Every summer my closest college girlfriends and their husbands go to Austin for the weekend to stay at my friend (gracious hostess friend!) Ann's house. On Saturday we go out on Lake Travis on two Pontoon boats and do all kinds of nothing. Pure, blissful nothing. Ahhhh, there's *nothing* like it.

Since we are all now in our 30s, and I do wish to keep these girls as my friends, and most importantly I didn't miraculously lose that 30 lbs in 2 days--I'll refrain from posting any pictures from the lake. But, here's a pic of the girls and me the night we all got to Ann's.

Not a whole lot going on otherwise. I took Landry to buy school supplies last night--surreal. I let her choose her backpack and lunch box and found out I didn't know her like I thought I did. I really thought I was going to have to talk her out of buying the dinosaur or "Pirates of Caribbean" or "Transformers" (boy) themed stuff, but she had her heart set on a "Bratz" themed backpack and lunch box. Hey, I was so happy it wasn't something with fangs or claws that I happily obliged with Bratz.

Korley is 16 months now and just the cutest most energetic thing ever. She never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever sits still! She is learning so many words and understands what we say way more than we give her credit.
And....the girl loves her some spaghetti!

I got to you from Elizabeth's blog and I enjoy hearing about your thoughts on kids, weight, etc. We think a lot alike. My son just started kindergarten yesterday...I still feel like I'm in a kindergarten depression. I'm so glad they started on Thursday, so I only had to endure two days. Maybe I will be braver next week.
