Last weekend Landry, my mom, and I took a little road trip to Abilene to visit my sister, Lindsay and her dog, Norm. Here's the weekend in pictures (by the way, Gigi WAS photographed but doesn't want them shown):
Landry and Norm--careful not to get *too* close to one another!

The "O" of the "ZOO" letters--or, Landry's hamster wheel.

Cute picture of the giraffe's face.

The best thing about the Abilene Zoo is getting to feed the giraffes!

We also saw *THIS* at the zoo!! Just say no to crack!

After the zoo, we went to the Grace Museum. Landry had a blast playing in the children's area! It's a great place for kids!

....and, it was very educational.

After the Grace, we went to the new Frontier Texas. Also very cool! This was Landry's favorite part--the replicas of the buffalo fending off the wolves.

Sunday for lunch we went to the extremely delicious Homeplace---man, so good! Here is Landry, Lindsay, and me on the front porch of the Homeplace.

Wow, those are great pictures! I was thinking how much Landry looks like you, and then I saw your sister in that last pic..and man, does she ever look like her!!
I wish we could have seen ya'll! Looks like you had a fun time. I love the picture of Landry in the "O" and the crack picture. I really can't believe you posted that. That's awesome.
Leslie--I hope you don't know her! ;)
I visited the Abilene Zoo at least a hundred times as a little kid and the giraffe tongues was always the biggest highlight!
Glad you had a good time in Abilene. You visited several of our favorite places. We have not been to the zoo much this summer due to rain and being out of town. We may have to make a trip there next week...you have inspired me!
