Guess I should update my blog. We've been back from Vegas since Saturday night (well, technically, Sunday at 2 am--ugh!!). We had a fabulous time and I have pictures, but haven't uploaded them yet. We didn't see any shows but we stayed busy eating our way through the city. (By the way, Kristen, I'm curious--what is your favorite restaurant in Vegas that you were referring to?) When we weren't eating, my friend Angie and I spent some time shopping and laying out by the pool at our hotel while our husbands watched an insane number of hours of basketball. Crazy.
Change of subject....do any of you mommies (or daddys, or farmers, or welders, or accountants--whoever can help!!) have any advice on getting an 11-month-old out of your bed? We've been trying to get Korley to sleep in her crib and it has been torture. The night before last she cried for about an hour and a half--non-stop--top of her lungs. It was awful. About an hour into the ordeal I decided I would try and do the "Supernanny trick" and sit in her room on the floor--not looking at her--but just sitting there so she would be comforted by my presence. I don't know why this works within 5 minutes for the Suppernanny kids and not at all for us, but needless to say, this didn't work! She just cried harder and louder. She finally fell asleep after I went to her bed and rubbed her belly for a few minutes. Anyway, if any of you have any wisdom--PLEASE SHARE!! We are desperate!!

My favorite restaurant in Vegas (and maybe anywhere) is Drai's. It is in the Barbary Coast hotel and has some of the best food I have ever eaten! It is always rated as one of the top 5 restaurants in Vegas each year -- I actually sent Elizabeth (http://littlebitslife.blogspot.com/) there when she went last year and she loved it too.
Glad that you had a fun trip!
Oh!! I hope you get advise on the crib situation. Landon's still in our bed. We can't do the cry it out, because he cries until he gags himself, then we have to take him out and change pjs, sheets, etc.
Brady has suggested that you and Jeff sleep in Korley's crib, and let Korley have your bed. :)
Can you do the transfer with her? Ya know, let her fall asleep with you and then take her to her bed without her waking up? That works sometimes around here when the kids are sick.
I'm glad that you had fun in Vegas. Where did you stay?
Welcome back! Can't wait to see pics.
Wish I could give you some good advice on the sleeping thing, but Ellie has been in her crib since she was 2 months old. My brother and his wife are still trying to get their (alomost) 3 year old out of their bed!
Boy do I wish I had some good advice on the crib sleeping thing. Lila is still pretty much in our bed all the time too. We've been getting a little better about it though, and I think it just takes time. We've just been trying to do it little by little and right now she is in there by herself...so maybe it's working.
