Weekend Review

Landry and I had a great weekend. Jeff didn't (more on that later). I picked up my sister from the airport Thursday night and she stayed at our house. We stayed up late watching the Olympics to see who won the women's figure skating medals. By late, I mean 11:00 pm.......WAY past my bedtime!

I took off work Friday so I could hang out with Lindsay. Since we stayed up SO late Thursday night we watched Thursday night's "Dancing with the Stars" first thing on Friday morning. I am certainly no dancer, but even I could have done the free style dance that Stacey and Tony did (sans the lift part). I couldn't believe it. It was terrible. In my opinion, Tony really blew it for her with that routine. She was capable of so much more and he basically choreographed something that I would have done at an 8th grade dance back in the day.

Anyway, we went to eat Mexican food for lunch and then went to Sam's to buy Landry's backyard playground. After our errands, we went to Arlington to my parent's house.

Saturday I took my dad, brother, and sister to the airport and they left for their 10- day trip to Israel. Landry and I spent the rest of the weekend shopping, eating out, and relaxing with my mom.

Jeff on the other hand, stayed behind in McKinney and worked his tail off assembling Landry's playground. He picked it up Friday from Sam's (in the rain), unloaded the thousand pound box in our garage (in the rain), and worked on it all day Saturday (in the rain). He had 3 friends helping on Saturday, but there were SO many parts that they didn't get it completed. Jeff then worked by himself on Sunday for about 8 hours on it and it's still not completed. BUT, it is getting close and it looks great. Hopefully, he and his friend can get it completed this weekend and Landry can start playing on it!
