Oh Baby!!

So, I go to a perinatologist every four weeks because I have a double artery umbilical cord (instead of triple) which is considered a "birth defect". Basically, they just want to check to make sure the baby is growing appropriately and not going to be too small and underweight, which can happen with babies with double artery umbilical cords.

I am 30 weeks pregnant now and the baby should weigh 3 lbs. But, my poor little DAUC (double artery umbilical cord) baby weighs 4 lbs 6 oz now!!!! Yikes! At the rate things are progressing now, we should be having another 10 pounder!!

By the way, props to my husband for guessing to the ounce how much the baby weighed today. My guess was 3 lbs 7 oz, his was 4 lbs 6oz. Good eye!!
