I did not get up at 3 am to begin watching royal wedding coverage (we salute you real man of genius--Mr. DVR inventor), but I did enjoy watching all of the pomp and circumstance once I did wake up!
If you weren't the slightest bit interested, you've probably already stopped reading this post. If you were the slightest bit interested, I'm sure by now, you've seen dozens of pictures and lots of footage. So, I won't recap the whole royal day, but I'll highlight (and lowlight) some of what I thought was memorable.
***BEAUTIFUL dress! I loved her dress--and pretty much the whole look! Loved the lace, the neckline, the detail around the bottom of the dress, the earrings, the veil, the tiara (which I thought was the perfect size!). The only teeny tiny criticism I have about the dress was that I thought it was kind of pointy around her boobs. From certain angles, it looked very conical. I, personally, would have wanted that changed, but maybe the cone boob look is the thing in UK.
***Prince Harry. My favorite royal. I loved how he couldn't help but turn around while Kate was walking down the aisle and then told William "wait til you see the dress".
***I love that he told her she looked beautiful when she got to the altar. And, I love that William told her dad, "It was supposed to be a small family affair" according to the lip reader.
There's been a lot of talk about how much Kate's dress looked like Princess Grace's......
***As much as I liked Kate's dress, I REALLY loved Pippa's dress! Of course, it helps if you're only 30 pounds, but it was so pretty on her. I also like her name--it's just fun to say! (Also, I'm rooting for a Harry and Pippa set-up. Sorry, Chelsy--you're just not my fave!)
***The balcony kiss(es). I loved Kate's so real reaction when she first walked out on the balcony and said, "oh wow!" regarding the thousands of people gathered around Buckingham.
***Also love this little bridesmaid's reaction to the flyover. Kids will be kids!
***This little blond-headed boy made me smile every time they showed him! What a little ray of sunshine!
*** Loved that they drove away from the palace in a convertible (granted, an Astin Martin convertible, but still) all by themselves. I really appreciated that they tried to bring some "normalcy" into such a huge spectacle!
***There were very few lowlights as far as I was concerned. But, Eugenie and Beatrice--good gracious! Just bloody awful! If they were trying to look like Cinderella's wicked step-sisters, they succeeded!
By the way, it's not necessarily the hats I don't like--although Beatrice's is definitely horrific. But, I tend to love crazy hats! It's their clothes, though, that are really terrible!! Eugenie's dress looks like it was a high school (middle school?) home-ec project. And, Beatrice's dress is just bland and boring.
***Loved the Spencer cousins' hats and outfits, though! They look way more royal!
***Victoria Beckham is another lowlight for me. Aren't we all tired of the I'm-too-important-and-famous-to-ever-smile look??
All in all, a royally beautiful day! Congrats, William and Kate!

Agree with your love of Harry! He seems so fun! BTW- he apparently decorated the car for the "just married drive".
Will apparently got a kick out of little Grace holding her ears too. He was overheard talking about it and showing how she had her hands on her ears when he & Kate met up with Camilla and Charles for the night party.
Love the Spencer girls (though the one's dress was a little tight)
Loved the little blonde boy! So cute. You may know this but he belonged to Wills & Harry's nanny.
I love the Harry/ Pippa hookup idea!! I am totally with you...Harry Rocks!
agree not at all a fan of the pointy boob look. Otherwise, great dress. Loved Pipa's dress. So pretty.
I think I concur with everything you said. Loved every minute of it! I want to be as skinny as Kate and Pippa. But, I think that would require me to excercise and diet, so I doubt it happens.
I love Harry too. He just seems like so much fun. I loved his face when he turned to look at Kate.
