In fact, I'd almost venture to say that I'm better about working out than blogging.
Almost.
I've actually started a couple of posts over the past few days and haven't gotten around to finishing them. They're sitting in my "draft" pile. Maybe I'll finish them, probably I won't.
This past week and a half has been a doozy. Full of highs for me personally and our family, but a lot of lows for many of my friends which has weighed heavy on my heart.
And speaking of highs and lows, the process of moving can be so bittersweet.
Last Friday, we said a final farewell to our dear friends and neighbors who moved to Tennessee. They only lived across the street from us for a few short months, but we love them like family.
Our neighbors came to Lubbock just last summer because Coach R joined the Texas Tech football staff. Unfortunately (for us), he did not get retained with the Texas Tech football coaching staff after Leach was fired. But, fortunately for them, the University of Tennessee snatched them up!
Hayden and Korley have been the best of friends (and sometimes the worst of enemies) the past few months, and we definitely already miss having Hayden across the street.
Something funny--Shannon and Hayden spent the night with us last Thursday night since their house was packed up and in disarray. Hayden and Korley wanted to sleep in the same room so we put Korley in her bed and Hayden in the trundle. We heard whispering a few minutes later and Jeff went to check on them. They had gotten in the same bed and were talking. Jeff told them to get back in their own beds, stop talking, and go to sleep. Korley said, "But, Daaaaaaaaad! We weren't talking! We were JUST kissing!"
Ayyyyy yi yi........
Korley and Hayden--saying their farewells
Shannon and me
And, while we're on the subject of "goodbyes"--my tennis friends took me out to dinner Saturday night. It was three hours of talking, laughing, and pure fun! I will definitely miss seeing these girls so much!

That Korley cracks me up!
When is y'all's move date?
If you need a tennis team when you move. My sister is on a great one in Fort Worth. She loves it!!
Saying "see you later" to friends you will be leaving behind is definitely a downside to moving!
Korley, Korley, Korley! Cannot imagine how many laughs we would miss out on if she were not part of our family! What a quick wit she is!
