I've been complaining that I haven't had much time to blog these days.
Now, I find myself with over 3 hours of "down time" in the St Louis airport--seems like the perfect time to blog.
I people watched for a while, and had a "celebrity" sighting. Pauly D from Jersey Shore. Yep. Pretty embarrassed that I even recognized him.
Guess now is as good as time as any to announce that the Edwards family is moving. Yet again!
We are moving at the end of March back to the Metroplex. This time, though, we'll be moving closer to the Ft. Worth side.
We (well, Jeff and me) are very excited about the move! The two of us have kind of felt like "fish out of water" being back in Lubbock this time around. We're blessed and thankful about being in Lubbock because Jeff really loves his job and has gotten great experience, but we feel that that work experience for him was probably our purpose in being here.
There are definitely some things we will miss about Lubbock, but we are looking forward to being closer again to family and the friends we had for 10+ years.
My main concern about the move, though, is Landry. She is WELL into her 2nd grade year and has had a fabulous school year. She has great friends and a fantastic teacher. We wanted to move before the end of the school year, though, so she could make so friends in the area before the summer break.
I just hope we don't scar her for life……
In this real estate economy, we are very fortunate to have already sold (well, have a contract on (knock on wood)) our Lubbock house. We have had a family that has wanted to buy our house for a while now and occasionally checked in with us to see if we were willing to sell it. Well, the opportunity finally became available--for them and us!
We're looking forward to this transition, but I do ask for your prayers for Landry! And, if you know her and see her, please try to talk positively about the move. She definitely feeds off of others' attitudes!

Wow! I didn't know that you had already sold your house! I was worried about that for you, so I'm glad I can stop worrying!
Glad you'll be closer...
I will be praying that Landry as well as the rest of you have a great transition back into the Metroplex. I am sure that once Landry get there she will find her place in no time and have more friends than she can count. Many blessings and good luck with the move;-)
Oh wow! Good luck and I will pray for Landry! Let me know if I can help you guys get everything together.
That is big news! Congrats and good luck to you guys!
We'll be thinking about you!
Congrats! Landry is going to do great! We moved several times when I was a kid and I know that each move really helped make me the person I am, we will say some prayers for her!!
WOW! That is big news! I moved every 3-4 years growing up and no harm done. She will do great.
Now, where are you moving too???? Closer to my neck of the metroplex???
Wow that was fast! Happy you get to move back to friends and family, but sad you will not be here anymore. I will be praying for a smooth transition.
Sooooo excited! We, too, are praying that the transition goes well for all of you!
Selfishly, I think this is very bad news. But, I am you will be closer to your family. I'll be praying for your family in this transitiion.
Yea Edwards family! So glad you are coming back, and I know Landry will do great.
Congrats, Courtney! I'm so happy for your family and what a blessing that your house sold so quickly. Coach and I have moved 17 times in 33 years of marriage and have grown to appreciate many things about moving. With change and uncertainty comes a new opportunity to trust God. Just turn your worries into prayers.
I also want to thank you for you cherful blog! It's one of the 'sunniest' I know! That's why I've chosen you to recieve the Sunshine Award. It suites you quite well! You can pick it up at my blog anytime. Congrats! And let your light shine....
