sent my baby off for her last day of first grade.
After today, she will be a second grader.
Unbelievable.
I had a mini- emotional meltdown this morning. It had nothing to do with first or second grade. I actually got a little teary thinking that her high school graduation will be here before I know
it--before I want it to be here.
Sometimes I just want to freeze time.
Last day of school.....

We've had a busy week with end of school activities, parties, and such.Last Friday was her school's Olympic day. It was a lot of fun; however, Landry was a little disappointed that there were no competitive games except tug-of-war. They basically just had a "play day". The younger grades did the "wet" activities in the AM (which I coincidentally missed) and the "dry" activities in the PM. The kids just got to play and go wherever they wanted. They brought in tons of bounce houses, water slides, etc and it was a child's dream....but Landry was a little disappointed that there was no three-legged races!
Here is Landry and her friend, Bailey, doing some sort of "first grade" rap.....

Wednesday morning was Landry's awards assembly. She got two awards--one for the "A" Honor Roll, and a Library award (for the amount of books read and her love for reading).

Can you believe that it is the last day? I took the same pictures today too. Landry received some great awards. You must be really proud.
I can't believe school is over. I started to cry when Luke said they were packing there room. What is wrong with me. Can't wait for Sunday. We are going to have so much fun!!
Not sure what about the company is, but this is Beth if you were wondering.
I am so jealous of everyone's "Last Day" posts! We go until next Wednesday!
Second grade sounds so big!
I still cannot believe that our girls are old enough to be in second grade. I know that you are so proud of Landry and her awards, that is fabulous! Love the pictures as usual! Did you realize they had grown so much since the first day of school before looking at those pictures? I know that it caught me off guard.
Is there any way to turn back time. I am not ready for all this!
You are right! High-school graduation will be here before you know it! Your babies' childhood goes by way too quickly! Trust me, I know! Enjoy it all!
