Well, again I suppose I took another unintentional blog break.
Here's a quick rundown of the last week:
*Jeff was out of town all of last week and my mom was here. The girls and I enjoyed our time with Gigi!!
*So glad she was here because all of Monday and part of Tuesday I got the stomach bug (swine flu?) and was completely out of commission. There is NO WAY I could have gone to pick up my kids from school....or feed them, bathe them, and get them ready for bed. I don't know how single parents that get the stomach bug (swine flu?) do it.
*Jeff came back and my mom went back to Arlington on Friday.
*Saturday, I drove to Abilene to hang out for a little while with my bff, Kristen. We went to lunch and got to have a good visit. Then, I hung out with my sister for a while. We went shopping and then had a fabulous steak dinner at the Beehive.
*Sunday evening was the kids' choir performance at church that Landry participated in. Landry LOVES programs and performances, and she did a great job! All of the kids did!
Jeff and Korley waiting for the performance to begin....
By the way, this is kind of hard to see, but those are records on the back stage prop and in the middle of the back of the stage they had a bunch of records hanging down. Landry had NO idea what they were. She told me she thought they were planets.
*Yesterday was a day that Landry has been looking forward to for a while. Back in February at an auction fundraiser for her school, we bid on and won for Landry to be "Vice Principal for the day". Yesterday was finally the day that she got to be "Mrs. Satterwhite" and be second in command for the day. They had a lot planned for the kids, including taking them to McDonald's for lunch. Landry had a blast and was relieved that she didn't have to paddle anyone or put any kids in ISS. :)
She wanted to "dress like a teacher", so here is her teacher outfit--white button-down, denim vest, khaki capris, and cute sandals.
Working hard on her veep duties....

What a perfect outfit for Landry's "veep day!" She looks so grown up in those pictures; I'm glad she enjoyed the day! Hope you were able to get video of her choir program--Gigi and PopPop would really like to see the performance. And, by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Courtney!
I love the comment about the records, the things our children are going to miss out on totally are so funny to me. Also I love that she got to be the assistant principal for the day! Sounds like she is at a very fun school. As always love the pictures!
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
landry looks absolutely adorable! and i love korley's puppy buns! ask landry if she can pull some strings and get me a teaching job...
I thought Landry and Caroline went to school together. I guess not because that is not G2. G2 is Caroline's aunt and principal.
Yes. I am planning to blog about our family and how we are all related, just for you. I am sure you have been dying to know. Not really but at least it is blog material.
