Also on this very windy and very cold day was Landry's news television debut--outside. Her grade donated the most cans for the canned food drive, so they were invited to go to the Food Drive location and be on last night's 6:00 news.
Landry was shown on the news a few times as the camera panned back and forth, but for her this was plenty. As far as she was concerned, she was the feature of the newscast!
Here are a few pics. Sorry for the poor quality. I think even my camera thought it was too cold to be out!

Landry is behind the girl who is directly behind the "W".

These next two I took from our television screen. Again, Landry is behind the girl who's behind the "W". The news lady is approaching them and Landry is awestruck.

The other exciting event from yesterday was Jeff was a "WatchDOG" at Landry's school for the day. DOGs are "Dads of Great Students" and they volunteer at the school for a full day. Apparently, when the WatchDOGs were recruited there was a promise of possessing a walkie-talkie for the day. Sadly, Jeff was given no such walkie-talkie, which he was a little bummed about. But, he had a great day at Landry's school and she was so happy he was there!

That is so great. Congratulations to Landry.
I love that she got to be on the news! How fun. Most of all I love the excited look on Landry's face...priceless.
I love that she was so excited and awestruck! Tell Jeff to complain next time and maybe they will give him a walkie-talkie!
Are you gonna write to Stonebriar Mall and tell them that we KNOW what's going on with the old Santa? How dare them not tell you that he was in Allen!! Hilarious!
surely he got over his disappointment as soon as they presented him with that sweet tshirt.
