All Aboard.....

Tonight, we went on the West Texas Polar Express. I had heard several months ago that Lubbock had a Polar Express this year and I thought it would be something fun for the girls to do. And, it was!

Jeff and I were both expecting a cheap, rickety train. In our heads, we were imagining a train similar to what they have at Six Flags. But, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice and comfortable the train actually was. We had a big u-shaped couch with a table in the middle (I guess it was more like a booth). And, the train was a double decker and we sat on the top deck. I think Jeff and I were more excited about this than the girls.

We traveled about 30 minutes or so to the North Pole. They played music, read the Polar Express story, and served hot chocolate and cookies. They tried to do a lot of things similar to the movie. Thankfully, they skipped the creepy hobo part. :)

I’ll tell the rest through pictures…..
Waiting to board.....
On the Polar Express
Getting our tickets punched
Enjoying our hot chocolate and cookies
However, Korley enjoyed fake eating the snowflake ornament just as much as her cookie.
The kids got up and danced in the aisle to the Polar Express music.
Our destination--The North Pole
Santa came aboard and visited with every child and gave them a silver bell.

I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday, but yesterday was Jeff's 34th birthday! Happy birthday, Jeff! I love you!

P.S.--have I mentioned to you blog readers about what an awesome husband I have? I mean, despite the fact that he's just awesome in general, he is keeping the girls for 12 days by himself while I go galavanting around Europe with my mom and Lindsay! Awesomeness.

How fun! We rode the Polar Express Grapevine version last year. It was not as much fun as the one you are describing but the girls loved it! Glad you are all enjoying the holidays.
I wish I was going to England with you:-)Have a wonderful time!

Super cute. I have heard about this too BUT our kids don't have cool parents like your kids do. :)

We looked at Christmas lights last weekend and I almost lost my ever loving mind over the complaining from the back seat.

Have a fun trip!!
