Horse Camp

Today is our fourth day in Lubbock as a family and I have lots to blog about regarding that subject, but it will have to wait. I want to make sure to chronicle Landry's horse camp rodeo.

Last Friday was the final day of Landry's horse camp. All the campers got to participate in a "rodeo" on Friday afternoon in which they showed how they learned to ride through (technically, "around") the pins and barrels.

I'll let the pictures tell the story.

This is Landry and "her" horse, Bodacious, or "Bo". She rode Bo all week and loves this horse. According to Landry, Bo was very well behaved--which to her meant he didn't stop the trail ride to eat or poop.

Did I mention this rodeo was Friday afternoon? In Frisco? Frisco, TX? It started at 103 degrees o'clock. Dang, it was H-O-T!

So hot that we brought umbrellas to stay "cool". Here is Korley and Lulu playing peek-a-boo!





I wanted to take a picture of Brady and Lindsay and here they are discussing if they should put their arms around each other. Lindsay was saying no because it was just TOO DANG HOT.


But they did anyway!


By the way, Jeff, Grammy and PawPaw, and Gigi and PopPop were there, too. I HATE that I didn't get ANY pictures of them. :(


After the rodeo, Landry received her camper certificate. After the certificates were distributed, camp was over and everyone left. One, because camp was over and two, because at this point it was 104 degrees o'clock......



.....but not us! Landry had brought a special treat for Bo and wanted to give it to him--which he fully deserved because afterall, he was well-behaved all week!
