I’ve been catching up on new blog posts (of the 75 blogs I read!) and have been reading about all of the parades, parties, cookouts, lake trips, and fireworks displays that everyone participated in over the weekend. It all looked so fun!
Me? I unpacked 48 gajillion boxes.
While there is some excitement in moving to a new house, I don’t like to miss a holiday. I love the 4th and am sad it has come and gone and I didn’t get to watch fireworks with my kids. However, I did get spend half of the day with Landry and Korley before I flew out to Lubbock. We had 4th of July lunch with my parents at Luby’s. :) And, we got red and blue jello.
And, since the girls had cute 4th of July shirts (ordered way before I knew they would just be wearing them to Luby’s), I decided to try and get some cute pictures of them. Instead, I captured a battle for the flag.
First, Korley got to hold the flag and Landry was happy to let her go first.
Then, Korley started playing teacher with her flag pointer and was leading her "class" in "calendar"....
And Landry started to get a little impatient.
And then bored.
So, then it was Landry's turn. This didn't go over so well with Korley.
She wanted it back. She had more teaching to do.
But, Landry said no....and pouting ensued.
Big time pouting.....
It is been virtually impossible to get a good picture of my kids together. They must be photographed independently.....especially on Independence Day.

Again I say: they are adorable!!! We felt so privileged to have them with us last week! We love your girls!!!!
And, I am so impressed that you were able to get all your unpacking done in such a short period of time!
THAT is so funny! I can't stop looking at the sequence of pictures and laughing!
love them. AND i get to come to the rodeo!
What cuties! I am impressed you unpacked on the 4th- I would have abandoned the boxes for fireworks!
They are absolutely adorable!!!

I am just here to say: your kids are so darn cute.
Heehee, great photo story! The girls are such cuties!
Oh they are precious! I love the play-by-play of the battle. Too funny!
Oh, that pouty face! That is a great picture. And yes, the individual pics turned out way cute. It's so difficult to get one kid photo'ed, much less, two!
Stinks about unpacking, but I hope you're getting to enjoy the new house and Lubbock.
I LOVED that little series of events. You should really develop your own sitcom.
The girls look adorable by the way. I can't believe that you were in Dallas this week. Email me back if there's anything we can do for you!!
Hey Courtney!! I am MAJORLY behind on blog reading--this is obvious b/c I didn't know you were moving to Lubbock!! I have lots of family in Lubbock (my parents grew up in Post and we still have family there too) SO next time I'm up that way, I am going to call you up for a visit! :) Good luck to you in your move!
Your girls are sooo beautiful--do you think Landry looks like your sister Lindsey? I do! So cute! I'm going to quit commenting now so I can scroll down and read more. :)
Your blog is greatness!!
