I guess I've been waiting for the blog fairy to magically post a new entry to my blog.....guess it's not going to happen. So, I suppose I'll do it myself--you know, before 2009 sneaks up on me!

One of the reasons I haven't blogged until now is because my computer has been completely taken over by my almost six-year-old and her endless hours of Web.k.inz!! Anybody else going through this? She had on before Christmas and then got FOUR MORE at Christmas...sheesh! One of the Web.k.inz that she got was a horse that she named...."Bucker". You have to use excellent diction when saying that one's name! (my brother asked Landry if Bucker was a mother...heehee).

Something really interesting happened to my sister and me yesterday. I entered my sister online as a "subject" for one of the upcoming Op.rah shows. It was just your standard "information"-type questions and stuff on her website. Well, within ONE HOUR of submitting the information, I got a call from an Op.rah producer!! Pure craziness! I 1) never really thought I would get a response and 2) didn't dream that if I did get a response that they would contact me so quickly! I had a good conversation with the producer and then sent her some pictures. Then, she wanted to talk to Lindsay, so I gave her Lindsay's info--she called and talked to Lindsay for a while. She told Lindsay that they were just starting to work on this show topic and it might be a couple of weeks before she got back in touch with her but she would be in touch.--Who knows? Nothing at all may come of it, but it was a fun experience for the day! Does this mean that I'm now 2 degrees from Op.rah?....just kidding....

Speaking of TV....this writer's strike is T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E!!! American Gladiators? are you kidding me? However, if all of your favorite shows are now out of episodes please watch Friday Night Lights!! I LOVE THIS SHOW and I don't want it to get canceled! So, I'm begging you--watch this show! It's seriously the best show on tv (besides The Office--but it's completely different from The Office so I can say that). If you haven't watched it before, start watching it. If you need more of a reason to watch besides the acting, stories, and authenticity I'll give you two--
1) TIM 2) RIGGINS!

Landry's sixth birthday is the end of this month. I didn't call to book the place she wants to have her party at until yesterday--which was not good. Apparently, the only time they had available that day is at NINE THIRTY AM!! Ugh! Looks like we'll be serving hotcakes instead of birthday cake!
