Oscars were BORRRRRRRR-INGGGGGGG!
Of course, I had not seen ONE of the movies that was nominated (okay, I'm lying...I saw Happy Feet), so that made it even less interesting--but still, not very entertaining. I have to say that pretty much the only parts I liked was the Will Ferrell/Jack Black number and the "Sound Effect" choir--that was actually really cool. I also liked the shadow puppet people thing where they would contort their bodies to represent certain movies. I had been kind of excited to see the Beyonce/Jennifer Hudson performance, but it basically was just a "sing-off" between the two of them; which by the way, I'm giving a slight edge to Jennifer Hudson. She was signing so hard that she pretty much had a wardrobe malfunction with her right boobie.
Also, I'm giving my best-dressed award to Reese Witherspoon. Honorable mention going to Penelope Cruz and Kate Winslet--loved both of their dresses, but thought they were too pale. Worst-dressed, HANDS DOWN, goes to Meryl Streep. What was she wearing? I guess Fred Leighton wouldn't lend her any diamonds, so instead she borrowed a necklace from Pocahontas.

I was so disappointed in the Oscar dresses. Seriously...so many ugly dresses. Nicole Kidman with the big bow? Anee Hathaway with that butterfly thing in front? Oofda.
Reese did look fabulous! I just love her.
The 'Sound Effect' choir was awesome, but yeah, the rest was boring. I, obviously, need to see more movies, I guess.
We rented 'The Departed' for tonight, hopefully Landon will cooperate and go to bed before 11!
