This past weekend I went on a shopping trip to San Marcos with a few of my friends for my friend, Kristen's birthday.
We had planned on leaving Friday morning at 8:30. I was all prepared to pick up Kristen on time. However, somehow I woke up on Friday in ALASKA! There was snow everywhere in our area. I don't know what was going on with traffic, but the drive to her house took me an hour and a half, as opposed to the normal 20 minutes. I took this picture while sitting in traffic on the little FM road between our houses (I had to take this pic with the window rolled up b/c my window was frozen shut!!)

What was crazy, though, was that once we got about 10 miles south of our homes there was not ONE BIT of wetness. It hadn't snowed, rained, sleeted, sprinkled at all. Texas weather is so strange!!
Anyway, we made it to New Braunfels late that afternoon and had spa treatments at "Dolly Parton's Steel Magnolia's Beauty Shop". Not really, but that's what it reminded me of. Kristen, Lisa, and I all got pedicures and we were sitting (squished) on this bench soaking our feet in a plug-in foot bath while listening to the nail people talk about everyone in NB. Quite entertaining!!!
After our pedicures, we checked into our darling little house(s). This place was really neat and perfect for our group.
Then, we headed to the Huisache, which is on my list of favorite restaurants in Texas. The ambiance and atmosphere are great, and they have one of those menus where you can't go wrong with anything you order and the menu description of every entree just makes your mouth water!!
Saturday morning, we got up and hit the outlet malls early. We shopped for a few hours and then stopped at Centerpoint Station for a big ole juicy burger. I love places like this. I love when you can stop in one place and get a burger, frickles (fried pickles), Brighton jewelry, a baby outfit, cute shoes, and a pastry!
After lunch, we shopped until late into the evening and then stopped down to eat again! This time at Outback.
At the end of the day, we had packed my Yukon full of shopping bags and headed back to the house to show each other our "treasures".

Sunday, we went back to the outlet mall for a short amount of time to make sure there was nothing we were leaving behind, then drove on back to Dallas in time for the Super Bowl.
Fun weekend!!
~~~~In other news, Korley finally started crawling last Thursday! YEA! I guess the tubes helped even out her equilibrium enough for her to start moving around!!~~~~
