Today Korley is nine months old! It's hard to believe how fast time has gone by! She has brought us so much joy, so much love, so much laughter, and so much lack of sleep!!
Here is a little bit about Korley:
*She loves to clap! She learned how to clap about three weeks ago and she has been vigorously applauding ever since.
*She doesn't crawl, but she definitely is mobile! Instead of crawling, she scoots on her bottom while she is sitting up. So funny!
*She is a major people-person. She loves to be held and she loves for someone, preferable many people, to be in the room with her.
*She has 7 teeth now!
*She has the most beautiful blue eyes and these LONG eyelashes. I don't know where her eye color came from; Jeff and I both have the same color eyes ( "doo-doo green") but Korley has these amazing deep blue eyes.
*She is a terrible sleeper. Granted, she has been sick since November and hasn't felt well, but she wakes up many times a night. Ugh! We usually put her in bed with us and that calms her down, but she wants to sleep right. up. next. to. you. Again....likes to be around people.
Side note: Moms, I know this isn't ideal; it will be a hard habit to break; we should just let her cry it out; blah, blah, blah....but you gotta do what you gotta do to get some sleep!
*The poor child has been on more antibiotics the past few months than I have been on my entire life. She is such a trooper, though. She has had ear infection after ear infection, colds, croup, etc and has remained smiley, happy, and "clappy" :) .
*She loves Baby Einstein and Elmo. Most babies do, I guess, but it's amazing how fast she can whip her head towards the TV if she hears one of those two things and it's amazing how long it can hold her attention!
*She loves her big sister, Landry. Everyday when I get the girls from school, I get Landry first and then Korley. And as soon as I bring Korley out of her room and she sees Landry she starts kicking her legs, waving her arms, and doing her big belly laugh towards Landry. Landry can make Korley laugh like NOONE else on this earth can. I know there will come a day when they are fighting over clothes, who's turn it is in the bathroom, riding in the front seat, etc, but right now it brings me so much joy to see them blossom into friends.
