Well, today is the very last day I will be a twenty-something. Tomorrow is my big 3-0!
I'm a little sad to be saying goodbye to my 20s. My life changed dramatically during this decade. I graduated from college, moved to Dallas, dated, became engaged, and married Jeff, changed jobs three times, bought two houses, and last but certainly not least had two beautiful children.
Turning 30 is so much different that turning 20. It's weird when you can start a story with "I remember about 10 years ago....." and actually remember 10 years ago. I can't say that when I turned 20 that I remembered "10 years ago" so well.
However, I am excited for what the future holds. I am blessed beyond belief with a wonderful family (both immediate and extended), caring and fun friends, a great job, and a safe and wonderful place to live.
Besides......since 40 is the "new 30" I suppose I'm turning 20 all over again!

Happy Birthday tomorrow, Courtney! Welcome to the 30's. Just wait til you find a grey hair! I just started finding them so now I don't have to BEG my hubby to get a highlight......I actually NEED it now!!

I was watching the news in January when they reported that it had been 20 years since the Challenger blew up. 20 years?!!!! I was in 5th grade! That couldn't have been 20 years ago! So strange!
So far, my 30s have been great. All 10 months of them! ;)
I am in the same boat in just 2 months when I turn the big 3-0 at the end of July!
Hope you had a wonderful birthday!! I have been in my thirties for two years now and it is not bad. I feel I am taken more seriously and that is a good thing. I do have a few grey hairs but nothing I cannot pluck out!!
