I cannot believe that we are almost through October. Time is passing CRAZY fast!!
Here's a little bit of what's been going on with us the past month or so.....
Korley started ballet/tap dance class. She had begged and begged and begged to take dance and talked about it for months. She was so excited about her first dance class, she could hardly stand it.
That was the beginning of September.
As of mid-October, she has quit dance. Ugh! Apparently, ballet is not as fast-paced as she would like--and as it turns out, they don't like you to tap anytime you please in tap class.
So, we're on to something else with Korley. Not sure what yet, but will definitely keep you posted!
We've spent every Saturday at the softball field. Landry has done well, she has a great team, great coaches, and is loving softball. So glad she has found a team sport that she enjoys!
Jeff and I made a trip a few weekends ago to San Marcos/New Braunfels. My friend, Stephanie, hosted a benefit for the Down's Syndrome Association and several of my friends attended. It was a lot of fun--great food, fun music, fantastic auction items, and some of my dearest friends!
Ann, Angie, me, Erin
The guys had a serious game of washers going on....
The hostess with the mostess--Stephanie
We managed to sneak in a day at the State Fair before it left town. I got the girls out of school early one day to avoid having to fight the weekend crowds.
Of course, they LOVED the animal/feeding zoo!!
They rode several rides. This was the first one they rode and I didn't see it in motion before I put Korley on it, but it basically spun in circles really fast the whole time. I could see the look of terror on her face while the ride was going and I felt SO GUILTY. However, once she got off she was laughing and saying it was so fun--go figure!
My brother (Uncle Buzzy) joined us for a while, too!
Boris--the 1200 lb pig. Good gracious!
Last week (Tuesday, Oct. 19), Korley lost her first tooth!! Crazy that she is only 4 1/2, but that tooth was READY! In fact, the permanent tooth pretty much shoved it out. She was so proud!
We've had Ranger fever around here!
The girls' schools both have had Ranger shirt Fridays--which is a nice break for Korley from her "unicorn".
Jeff and I went to both game 2 and game 6 of the ALCS here in Arlington. Both games were SO much fun, but especially game 6.
I've never been in the Ballpark (or maybe any stadium for that matter) that had so much energy the entire game and just went nuts when the game was over. It was truly thrilling to be there!
Jeff and me at game 6
Lindsay and me at game2
Looking forward to more fun to come in the next month!

So funny about Korley quitting dance. She is a girl that knows what she likes!!
Looks like you've had a lot of fun! I've commented a couple of times, but I read everytime you post:) SO jealous you got to go to the Ranger games!
Your hair looks super cute!
Korley looked cute as a dancer. I have to agree with her on all points about dancing. It's not my thing either.
Teresa is right, your hair looks fabulous!
So jealous you got to go to see The Rangers. I've had to cheer them on from my couch, and that's not near as exciting.
Glad you posted and gave us an update on your busy Fall!
