As I was getting Korley ready for school this morning, she told me that she wanted a "twisty-spinny".
Huh?
I've never heard her use this phrase before and I didn't know what she meant.
However, if you know my daughter at all, if she asks for something and you're not sure what it is, you BETTER find out! She's not going to let it go.
I'm wracking my brain....
twisty-spinny, twisty-spinny.....
Do you want a pretzel?
Nooooooooo!!!! TWIS-TEEEEEE-SPINNNN-EEEEE.
Okay.
Aha. Maybe she wants to play. So, I pick her up and spin her around.
This only adds to the level of her frustration.
And mine.
Then, she starts pulling at her hair and saying she wants a twisty-spinny.
Me: Oh. Do you want me to braid your hair?
Korley: Yes. A twisty-spinny.
Phew! Crisis averted.

You didn't know that's what all the young whipper snappers are now calling it?!
:)
I'm impressed you figured it out so quickly! I'd probably still be in the dark about what she wanted!
What a perfect term for a braid! I actually have a complete visual for the level of frustration occurring for her and for you; I can even hear her voice getting louder and louder as she tries to explain "twisty spinny!" Too cute!
LOL! Love your girls! Looking so forward to seeing you all soon!
