Last weekend I cleaned out my closet and gave a bunch of stuff to Goodwill. A lot of it was shoes. Some of them shoes that I really was on the fence about keeping or giving away. Then I thought about it. Two pair were boots that I bought in 1997. One pair was black dress shoes I bought in 1998. Two pair were shoes I bought in 2000. And, everything else was no younger than 2001. Seriously, I hang on to stuff WAY too long.
So, today I thought I would do some shoe shopping at lunch today and try and update my footwear. WHAT HAPPENED TO DSW???? They used to have cute, trendy, reasonably priced shoes. Now they have cute, trendy, "seriously, these-are-how-much?" priced shoes. Even their clearance priced shoes were still more than I wanted to spend.
Wonder if I can go buy my shoes back from Goodwill?

I seriously thought the same thing last winter when I visited our NEW DSW.
Rachael Ray suggested saving your money and buying good shoes to last a couple of falls. Good luck being trendy!!
Shoes are expensive EVERYWHERE now. It seemed to happen quite suddenly. I saw an ad for a pair of boots at PAYLESS an they were $59.00! $59.00 for boots from a crappy discount shoe store...crazy.
