Change of Occupation

May 31 closed a long chapter of my life.  It was my last day at Nortel--where I had worked for (almost) eight years.

I started in October of 2002.  Landry was just 21 months old and we lived in the first house Jeff and I bought together.  During the next few years Korley came along, as well as 4 additional moves--yet my employer stayed the same.

Nortel filed for bankruptcy and subsequently sold its business to other companies and is dissolving--so, it was inevitable that my job would dissolve as well.

Fortunately, though, I have met people and made friendships through Nortel that I don't think will ever dissolve and I am grateful for that!

I'm now adjusting to being a stay-at-home mom, which has been quite an easy adjustment since it coincided with the beginning of the summer break for the girls!

So long, Nortel!
