For whatever reason, Korley has been looking forward to turning five pretty much since the moment she turned four!
I remember Landry being the same way, and I'm not sure what is so magical about five, but thankfully we finally reached the milestone! I'm not sure I could have taken one more day of the, "my birthday is taking forrrrrevvvvvvvver!!" drama.
Saturday was Korley's birthday party--or, as she referred to it, her "fake birthday" since her "real birthday" was on Sunday and we had her party at a nearby bounce house place that Korley loves!
Many of our friends' kids and her school friends were there and Korley had a blast!
After her party, we had some friends come over to continue the celebration and for the kids to christen the pool for swimming season and to cook-out! Hello backyard--we have missed you!!
Our friends, the Andersons, spent the night with us. And, as always, the kids had a slumber party. We always put them in the darkest room in the house hoping that will help them sleep later in the morning. And, it always fails.
The very first picture of Korley as a (real) FIVE year old!!
Last night (on Korley's "real birthday"), my family came over to help celebrate. We had a steak dinner, cake, and Korley opened presents!
Gigi made her delicious chocolate sheet cake and she and Korley decorated it.
She got a bike with no training wheels (that she has no idea how to ride) (yet)!!!
Lulu and Buzzy helping her take a spin on her bike!
Happy birthday, sweet Korley! I hope FIVE is everything you ever wished it could be!

Love the sheet cake! Precious!! I also love the Korley and Five on the Presents!! Super cute!!
Holy cow! She looks so big! Well, she and Landry both are looking so, so, well, grown! I know growing is good and all because it means they are healthy, but dang!
Korley's Little Mermaid cake is so cute. Love the throne they let her sit in! Her "real" party looks like tons of fun too. Love the bike with streamers!
Happy Birthday Sweet Korley!
Courtney- please send over the rest of the sheet cake!!
