I had good intentions of posting a couple more times since my last post, but it just didn't happen. Ugh....
And, I don't really have anything particular to blog about so I'll talk about some random stuff from pictures I just downloaded from my "back-up" camera. :)
Feel free to bow out now because trust me--this post is going nowhere.
Every year, my closest sorority friends have an After-Christmas-Christmas party. This year, my friend, Christie, hosted on New Year's Day. We were all there except one (we missed you Angie!) with all of our families. It's so fun to see everyone each year and see how big our group is getting with all of the additions!
We're even missing 4 kids from this picture!
The following day we went to the Cotton Bowl. Ugh--it was good for about 8 minutes and then it was all downhill from there. I've been to all (of my lifetime) Tech Cotton Bowls and we have lost every time. I'm starting to take it personally. And, holy cow it was HOT. It certainly felt more like June and less like January. But, we had a good time and it was great to be at the last Cotton Bowl in the original Cotton Bowl.

Also, I had a star sighting at the Cotton Bowl. See that gray-haired dude right there. That's Buddy Garrity from Friday Night Lights--my FAVORITE show! I mean, it wasn't Tim Riggins (unfortunately!), but I'm easily starstruck!
In other news, Landry's 7th birthday is next week. This is what she's getting......

That is the cutest little ball of fluff! Landry is going to be so excited!!
What kind of dog is that? Just wondering because Kaylee really wants one but we are trying to put her off as long as possible. I am sure Landry is going to be thrilled beyond belief. You are such a great Mom!
Erica, I don't know about that! I'm getting a dog under serious protest!
It's a maltese. I figured if we're going to get a dog it needs to be really cute and make small poop!
Next time we should communicate better. It seems like we go lots of the same places and we could finally "meet."
We have seen Buddy at a lot of the home games this year and were excited when he showed up at the Cotton Bowl. We thought it might turn things around for us. Not true.
Oh my gosh...that puppy is so cute it looks fake. Landry is going to be super excited.
Courtney-
I love your new dog!! I just lost my precious Maltese after 12 short years together. You are going to adore your little one. They are so full of personality and life. Would you mind sharing your breeder? I am dying to adopt another one as the house feels so empty! Thanks!
