Let me start by saying that with the exception of the very rare road trips I have taken this past year, it has been a while since I have been in a convenience store. I generally fill-up at Wal-Mart or Costco and always pay with my debit card so there has been no reason for me to go into a convenience store. However, recently I have fallen in love with 7-11.
People, they have the best selection of coffee! They have two big coffee makers, each with several burners that are warming about 8 pots of freshly made flavored coffee. They've got regular, decaf, and bold (boring!), but also hazelnut, french vanilla and many more! And, they have those cute little flavored Coffee-Mate creamers. My favorite right now is Hazelnut coffee with one Hazelnut creamer and one packet of Equal--Mmmmmmm!
So, pretend we are sitting down to chat with a cup of coffee. The coffee chat subject for the day is your least favorite Christmas song. And, I guess we can throw in most favorite, too. I don't want to totally be Debbie Downer.
My least favorite is anything by Kenny G. I don't know why, but the sound of any instrument with a reed just really bugs me. I think it has something to do with all the woodwind'ers I was in middle school band with that were constantly chewing on their reeds--gross! Anyway, I just don't like the sound of saxophones or clarinets; therefore, I don't enjoy Kenny G's Christmas music--or really any of his music.
My favorite Christmas song (at least right now) is Josh Groban's "O Holy Night".
Your turn.....

I'll sip my hot chocolate (since I'm not a coffee drinker) and discuss Christmas songs....
Well, I know I'm biased, but I do love me some Karen Carpenter!
I don't like anything Trans-Syberian Orchestra...yuck!
For the record, I totally agree that 7-11 does indeed have the best coffee bar (in the world). Eat your heart out Starbucks. Favorite Christmas song is "All is Well" on the Michael W. Smith album (yeah, old school) and least favorite is the "Santa Baby" song...totally gives me the heebie jeebies.
man...i can't believe that someone already said karen carpenter! her "merry christmas, darling" song has been one of my favorites in recent years. weird, i know. (i, too, love O Holy Night...but, the Martina Mcbride version).
by least favorite by far is that "simply having a wonderful christmas time" song...do you know which one i am referring to?? they play it all the time here and I HATE it. but, i find myself singing it in my head every day this time of year. cruel irony.
The fact that you are enjoying coffee makes my heart sing--not a Christmas song, however! I've been waiting years for someone in my immediate family to enjoy a cup of coffee with me! So glad you've discovered 7-11! And, by the way, "Santa Baby" is one of my least favorite Christmas songs!
i also really like kelly clarkson's version of "grown up christmas wish"...
I agree with all of these comments--don't really like Trans-Siberian Orchestra, "Santa Baby" is just plain creepy. But, Linds, you hit the nail on the head--"Wonderful Christmastime" is the worst!
Oooooo, I'm sounding very
Scrooge-y.
Oh, I forgot Santa Baby...very creepy!!!
Mine is "Baby It's Cold Outside" because my husband sings it all the time! And not the whole song, just those 4 words!! ARRRRGGGHHHH
My favorite is "I'll Be Home For Christmas" by Kenny G......just kidding. By anyone other than Kenny G.
FYI- Landry was the cutest Bindy for Halloween!!!
My favorite Christmas CD is Sarah McLachlan. I listen to it a lot. My husband thinks is a little slow, so I listen to it by myself!
My least favorites....Feliz Navidad and Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time. Those are definite channel changers!
